Keldun House Reviews

Below is a sample of what some of our past guests had to say about their stay in Keldun House, Tarbert.

"Dear Bernadette,

you may remember us, we hope so anyway, Mieke and Paul, from Holland on a cycling tour through Ireland. We loved to stay with you, in your beautiful B&B, it was  so nice getting to know you, and it was a pleasant surprise you offered to do  our laundry, very kind.

You really made us feel at home, and we had some nice conversations about (Irish) sports and music and especially the things you told us about Irish history made us take an interest in Ireland, and we found much information on the internet, since we are home again.

For example about the great Famine. In Louisburgh, in a B&B  we watched a program on the Irish TV about the commemoration in Drogheda. Two years ago we saw the Irish Hunger Memorial in New York, very impressive.

During our trip we also read a novel about an Irish family, by Sebastian Barry, "On Canaäns Side". We recommend his books!

We had a marvellous and beautiful cycle tour  in Ireland, despite the cold weather.

After 5 weeks we returned home at June 5th, safe and sound.

We enjoyed our stay at Keldunhouse ever so much, and we will recommend you to our friends and everybody!

 Take care, love from

 Paul van Kampen

Mieke Kouwenberg."
