Tarbert is located in the northern part of County Kerry right on  the River Shannon. Its on the N69 coast road from Limerick City to Listowel along the Shannon estuary.

Tarbert offers a number of lovely walks along the banks of the river but also great golfing and angling possibilities. The village of Tarbert is home to six pubs and a number of  restaurants all of which are within a short distance of Keldun House.

Enright's restaurant and the Swanky bar are on the same street as Keldun House and both are  family run establishments which offers a quality menu seven days a week. There is also a Chinese restaurant and a takeaway located in tarbert village.
